A homeowner in Wethersfield, CT had an attic that was not insulated properly, causing their home to be colder than it should. They made the right decision when they called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to find a solution. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Matt Abbassi, went to the home to estimate the issues and then provide the correct solution for this home.
Once a proposal was made, it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and his team to tackle this project. The team created a catwalk in the attic so the homeowner could properly get into the space safely. Then they blew in our TruSoft Cellulose Insulation throughout the attic. This will act as a thermal barrier to the home, ensuring that no cold air gets in and no warm air goes out. Now this homeowner can enjoy their comfortable home!
When we examined this attic, we found that the existing blown fiberglass and fiberglass batts were allowing heat and air to escape from the conditioned lower levels of the home up through the attic during the winter months. In place of the fiberglass, we installed our TruSoft blown cellulose insulation. This celluose insulation is treated with a natural boric acid solution to make it resistant to fire and unattractive to insects and pests. It is highly resistant to air flow and an excellent choice for attic insulation when preceded by thoroughly air sealing all of the gaps, seams and holes. Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut is pleased to have saved the owners of this home up to 40% on heating and cooling costs!
Before we came to this Glastonbury attic, there were cracks and air leaks under all of the fiberglass insulation. This was allowing unwanted air flow through the attic and home, causing uneven temperatures which resulted in high electric bills. Wanting a solution, these Glastonbury homeowners gave Dr. Energy of Connecticut a call. Our Design Specialist, Keith Saunders, came to the house for a Full Home Energy Evaluation. He concluded that the home would need to be completely air sealed to solve the air leakage problem. Then, blown-in cellulose would be implemented to ensure home efficiency and comfort, where it offers a superior R-value compared to traditional fiberglass batts. With a plan set, David Hicks and his team came to air seal the attic and install the blown-in cellulose. With an upgraded attic, the homeowners could not be happier with a home that now has even temperatures and a lower energy bill!
A homeowner in Glastonbury, CT had a crawlspace that needed insulation. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to solve their energy problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, went out to the home to estimate the issues and provide products for a solution.
Then it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and his team to work on this project. They used Spray Foam insulation on the walls. This will seal and insulate all in one, keeping the air in. It is also a waterproof insulation. The team also put in a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This will protect the crawlspace from moisture and any possible mold growth. Now this homeowner is happy knowing their crawlspace is properly insulated.
A homeowner in East Hampton, CT had an attic with existing fiberglass insulation that was causing their home to be energy inefficient. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to have us find a solution for this project. After scheduling an appointment with us, one of our Sales Consultants, Mike Bourdeau, went out to the home to assess the issue and propose our insulation as a solution.
Then it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and his crew would work on the installation of this project. They blew in our TruSoft cellulose insulation. This will act as a thermal barrier to the home, regulating the temperature year-round. It will also mean that their home will be energy efficient, bringing their energy bill down.
