This Burlington attic was uninsulated and causing discomfort for the homeowners. They were concerned with their home’s energy efficiency and were paying a high monthly electric bill. Wanting to find a solution to their energy efficiency problems, they decided to call the experts at Dr. Energy Saver of CT.
The solution for this attic was to install cellulose insulation. Cellulose insulation is the superior choice for attics because it is effective, safe and environmentally friendly. It is effective because it offers a superior R-value than traditional fiberglass batts and increases the efficiency of a home. This product is also treated with a non-toxic borate solution that gives the material a Class-1 fire safety rating. Cellulose is a “green” product that is primarily made from recycled newspaper. With all these benefits, this product was the perfect solution for these homeowners. Now, they enjoy an energy efficient home without paying a high energy bill every month!
A homeowner in Burlington, CT had a small space above their family room that was not insulated. They wanted to change that so they could enjoy their space, so they called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to help solve their problem. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Mike Bourdeau, met with the customer at their home to understand what work we would need to do. He informed one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and then soon it would be time for him and the crew to get to work. They dense packed our TruSoft Cellulose insulation into the small space. This will ensure that the insulation acts as a thermal barrier to the family room, keeping their temperatures regulated, and keeping them warm all winter long!
A homeowner in Plantsville, CT had little to no fiberglass insulation in their attic, causing their home to be energy inefficient. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to find a solution to this problem. One of our Sales Consultants, Keith Saunders, visited the home to assess the issues and propose a solution with our blown-in insulation.
Our Foreman, Rudy Abel, and his crew installed this job. They blew in our TruSoft cellulose insulation throughout the entire attic. This will act as a thermal barrier to the home, ensuring it will now be energy efficient. This gave the homeowner great peace of mind!
Multi-level attics can cause homes to be especially drafty if not insulated properly. When one room has a higher ceiling than another, it leaves a short area completely exposed in the attic. Fiberglass batts can’t stop the air flow. This major air leak was causing high energy bills and a drafty house. To solve this problem, we installed SilverGlo insulation in place of the fiberglass and sealed it with expanding foam. As a result, the adjacent rooms in the home were significantly warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, and the house was less drafty and more comfortable overall.
This attic in North Haven, CT was primarily used as a storage area, but the existing insulation made it unsuitable for storing items because of the temperature fluctuations. After speaking with Sales Consultant, Keith Saunders, these homeowners were ready to start the insulating and air-sealing process. Foreman, Jony Fernandez, and his team began by removing all the existing insulation and installing the complete Attic SuperDeck for the homeowners to walk around and store items in their attic. Then, our team completely air-sealed the attic and blew in our TruSoft Cellulose insulation which significantly improved the temperature control and energy efficiency of the space. The attic became more comfortable and suitable for storing items without the risk of damage from extreme temperatures!
