A homeowner in Plantsville, CT had little to no fiberglass insulation in their attic, causing their home to be energy inefficient. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to find a solution to this problem. One of our Sales Consultants, Keith Saunders, visited the home to assess the issues and propose a solution with our blown-in insulation.
Our Foreman, Rudy Abel, and his crew installed this job. They blew in our TruSoft cellulose insulation throughout the entire attic. This will act as a thermal barrier to the home, ensuring it will now be energy efficient. This gave the homeowner great peace of mind!
Multi-level attics can cause homes to be especially drafty if not insulated properly. When one room has a higher ceiling than another, it leaves a short area completely exposed in the attic. Fiberglass batts can’t stop the air flow. This major air leak was causing high energy bills and a drafty house. To solve this problem, we installed SilverGlo insulation in place of the fiberglass and sealed it with expanding foam. As a result, the adjacent rooms in the home were significantly warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, and the house was less drafty and more comfortable overall.
