CrawlSpace Insulation in Glastonbury, CT

A homeowner in Glastonbury, CT had a crawlspace that needed insulation. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to solve their energy problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, went out to the home to estimate the issues and provide products for a solution.

Then it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and his team to work on this project. They used Spray Foam insulation on the walls. This will seal and insulate all in one, keeping the air in. It is also a waterproof insulation. The team also put in a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This will protect the crawlspace from moisture and any possible mold growth. Now this homeowner is happy knowing their crawlspace is properly insulated.

Dr. Energy Saver in East Hampton, CT

A homeowner in East Hampton, CT had an attic with existing fiberglass insulation that was causing their home to be energy inefficient. They called us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to have us find a solution for this project. After scheduling an appointment with us, one of our Sales Consultants, Mike Bourdeau, went out to the home to assess the issue and propose our insulation as a solution.

Then it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Rudy Abel, and his crew would work on the installation of this project. They blew in our TruSoft cellulose insulation. This will act as a thermal barrier to the home, regulating the temperature year-round. It will also mean that their home will be energy efficient, bringing their energy bill down.

Crawl Space Insulation in South Lyme, CT

This South Lyme, CT crawl space was run down, and its lack of insulation was causing uncomfortable temperatures in the rest of the home. Despite its large size, the area was also dirty and could not be used as a proper storage space. Wanting to make use of the space and improve the comfort of his home, the homeowner did some online research and decided to schedule an appointment with the experts at Dr. Energy Saver of CT.

Soon after, sales representative Taz Peterson arrived to inspect the home. Taz quickly identified the problems in the crawl space and shared his findings with the homeowner. Together, they discussed some possible solutions and found the best fit for the homeowner.

On the first day of production, foreman Rudy Abel arrived with his crew to begin the project. First, they insulated the home's rim joist, which would prevent crawl space air from leaking into the rest of the home. Next, the team installed CleanSpace liner, which acts as a moisture barrier and covers up the dirty crawl space floor below. Finally, they lined the walls with SilverGlo insulation, which includes a built-in reflective barrier. When the team was done, the crawl space had been transformed from a cluttered, uncomfortable crawl space into a neatly lined and well insulated area. The homeowner was more than satisfied with the results, excited that this project had provided him with a more energy efficient home, as well as some valuable storage space, all in one.

Blown Cellulose Insulation in New London, CT

This customer was burning huge amounts of oil every winter, and they were still uncomfortable. In the summer with the air conditioner running, the bedrooms were hot and the electric bills were high. Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut offered several solutions for this homeowner.  We wrapped the masonry chimney with Rockwool insulation and covered and sealed the can light fixtures with our fire-retardant TiteShell light can covers to stop air leakage. For this customer, attic storage access was important, so we installed our insulated SuperDeck to ensure that every portion of their attic would be energy efficient. Finally, we built cellulose dams and filled them with the spray foam cellulose insulation to complete this attic upgrade.
