A homeowner in Derby, CT had existing insulation in their attic that was causing the temperature in their home to not be regulated properly. They decided to call us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to help fix this problem. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Representatives, Joe Schech, went to the home to estimate the issues.
After that, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Jony Fernandez, and his crew to work on this project. They removed some of the old insulation in the attic and then they blew in our TruSoft Cellulose insulation. This would act as a thermal barrier to keep the warm air in and protect the home from cool air from seeping in as well. They made this attic easily accessible by adding a catwalk. Now this homeowner can watch their energy bill go down and actually feel the results.

This attic had poorly installed fiberglass batts insulation and several concerning areas for air leakage. The area was sealed with a sprayable orange foam and then our Trusoft cellulose insulation was installed. Both of these products combined will stop conditioned or heated air from escaping, eliminating drafts. Another important benefit of our Trusoft insulation is that it's fire retardant due to the treatment of natural borate compounds. Those same compounds prevent the presence of insects, rodents and mold!
