Crawl Space Insulation Photo Album: SilverGlo Insulation in Open Floor of Westbrook, CT Home
These Westbrook, CT homeowners were doing a serious renovation to the first floor of an older home they bought. They wanted to insulate the underside of their flooring through the crawlspace, but when a last second decision made them tear up all the flooring and plywood sheathing on the first floor, this plan had to be abandoned. They called Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut to see what services to offer them and our home energy expert came up with a genius solution to the problem.
The homeowner and our team agreed on installing sheets of our SilverGlo rigid foam insulation between the floor joists of the open floor. They would be pressure fit to the open floor cavities so they could be easily sealed into place using spray-able polyurethane foam sealant. The photos above feature the crew cutting and placing the sheets into the floor and sealing the edges with the orange foam sealant. Now the floors will be completely airtight and insulated properly with our products.
The homeowner was happy with our solution and is now all set to continue with his renovation!
