Old Fiberglass Insulation
Fiberglass insulation does not stop air leaks in the attic, and will still result in high energy costs. A more effective way to save money on heating and cooling is to air seal the attic.
Air Sealing
To air seal the attic, we use an expanding foam. The foam leaves the nozzle in liquid form but expands rapidly to fill and adhere inside cracks and gaps. As it cures, the foam will create a barrier that is both airtight and functional as insulation.
Insulated Can Lighting
Recessed lighting, or can lights, leak air and waste energy unless they are air-sealed with a code-approved cover. By covering them with our TiteShell fireproof cover and air sealing around them, we effectively stop air from leaking into the attic through the light.
SuperAttic System
Dr. Energy Saver invented the SuperAttic system to overcome common attic insulation and air-sealing problems and offer homeowners a high-performance alternative to blowing fiberglass or cellulose insulation into attic spaces. The SuperAttic system has already drawn praise from customers who are enjoying vastly improved energy performance along with attic storage and the system's neat, clean appearance.
