Blown-in cellulose insulation is a super-green solution to energy efficiency problems. Cellulose is made from recycled newspaper. Instead of going into a landfill, old newspaper can be put to work as a permanent, energy-saving improvement. The old newspaper is processed into a fluffy insulation that rates up to R-4 per inch and the cellulose is treated with a natural boric acid solution to make it resistant to fire and unattractive to insects.
