A homeowner in Stamford, CT expressed interest in re-insulating his crawlspace. With old fiberglass insulation hanging from underneath the subfloor and cold floors in the winter, the homeowner knew he had to make a change. Reaching out to the experts at Dr. Energy Saver, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Jimmy Stablein, who offered a free in-home consultation. On the day of the consultation, Stablein arrived at the home, developing a further understanding of the homeowner's concerns. Drafting a proposal, Stablein suggested spray foam insulation to mitigate the insulation issues. With better insulation properties compared to fiberglass insulation, including better air sealing abilities, the homeowner felt much more confident in his crawlspace.
With the proposal approved, Foreman Jony Fernandez and his team arrived on-site. Following a quick install, the crawlspace was returned to the homeowner with improved insulation abilities!
After: Spray Foam Installed
This spray foam insulation, sprayed along the bottom of the subfloor, provides a better alternative to standard fiberglass insulation.
Before: Fiberglass Insulation
Old fiberglass insulation can grow mold if in the presence of moisture. Overtime, if soaked in water, fiberglass insulation can fall apart, too.
Before: Old Fiberglass Insulation
Fiberglass insulation can shift overtime, drooping from the ceiling as noted in this picture. Once spray foam cures, it stays put, not shifting or moving around like fiberglass.
