A homeowner in Derby, CT had existing insulation in their attic that was causing their energy bill to be higher than it should be. They decided to call us at Dr. Energy Saver of CT to help fix this problem. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Representatives, Joe Schech, went to the home to estimate the issues.
After that, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Jony Fernandez, and his crew to work on this project. They removed some of the old insulation in the attic and then they blew in our TruSoft Cellulose insulation. This would act as a thermal barrier to keep the warm air in the home. They made this attic easily accessible by adding a catwalk. Now this homeowner can watch their energy bill go down and actually feel the results change in their home.
Attic with existing insulation
This insulation was not doing its job well, causing the home to be energy inefficient.
After Blown-In Cellulose
Our crew blew in our TruSoft Cellulose insulation and made a catwalk. This will create a thermal barrier for the home, keeping it warm and not letting any cool air in.
Left side of attic
This is also prior to any blown-in insulation.
TruSoft Cellulose
We blow in enough TruSoft Cellulose in order to create that thermal barrier. It will bring the homeowner's energy bill down.
