SuperKneeWall Installation
The first step is to cut back the decking and install blocks of SilverGlo foam insulation between the ceiling joist bays. SilverGlo installation is continued all the way up the rafters to the kneewall.
Air Sealing the SuperKneeWall
After the SilverGlo has been installed, all of the seams and gaps are air sealed with expanding foam.
Air Sealing
One of our Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut experts crawls through the crawlspace created by the knee wall to finish air sealing with our foam sealant.
Blowing in Cellulose
Once air sealing is complete, TruSoft cellulose insulation can be blown in. Rooms are comfortable all year round and need much less heat and air conditioning. Drafts are eliminated as knee wall spaces are airtight, clean, and suitable for storage.
