Guilford Attic Before
This is what the attic looked like before our team began their work. Gaps in the old, inefficient fiberglass insulation were allowing drafts and air leakage to cause uneven temperatures throughout the home.
SilverGlo Insulation
We installed our SilverGlo insulation after air sealing the area with spray foam. Air sealing ensures that the temperatures within the home will remain stable and prevent against air leakage. SilverGlo is a rigid foam board insulation that will not lose R-value over time, unlike traditional fiberglass batt insulation.
Blown-in Cellulose
Next, we added blown-in cellulose to the attic. Made of recycled materials, cellulose acts as a thermal barrier to help keep the home energy efficient. It is also pest, mold, and fire resistant! The homeowners are now happy with their comfortable home and lower energy bill.
